Are you a safety-focused plant operator who takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly, efficiently and safely? If so, this is an exciting opportunity to join our operations team as an Operator C at our Burley, Idaho facility!

What You’ll Do

βœ… Operate the facility in accordance with company policies, operating procedures, and all applicable OSHA, EPA, DOT and environmental regulations
βœ… Load and unload trucks and railcars safely and efficiently
βœ… Monitor, read and record process instrumentation and collect product samples to ensure quality standards are met
βœ… Troubleshoot process and equipment irregularities, and recommend operational adjustments as needed
βœ… Perform routine inspections of vessels, piping, valves and equipment to prevent failures or unsafe conditions
βœ… Participate actively in plant safety programs, including safety meetings, inspections and hazard reporting
βœ… Support maintenance activities, including turnarounds, lockout/tagout, confined space entries and equipment preparation
βœ… Assist with emergency response activities and facility start-ups, including P&ID walkdowns and system testing
βœ… Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment across all plant areas
βœ… Support updates to operating procedures, labeling, valve tagging and safety signage
βœ… Work extended hours, holidays, weekends and overtime, and be available for call-outs as required

Profile

What You’ll Bring

βœ” High school diploma or GED
βœ” HAZWOPER Technician-level certification (required)
βœ” Strong mechanical aptitude and technical understanding of industrial equipment and processes
βœ” Working knowledge of pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, piping systems, valves and basic chemistry
βœ” Ability to follow operating procedures, safety programs and emergency response plans consistently
βœ” Experience operating motorized equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, tractors or similar plant vehicles
βœ” Basic computer skills and the ability to document readings, reports and operational data
βœ” Strong communication skills and a professional, team-oriented mindset
βœ” Willingness to complete and pass all required training, written exams and practical evaluations

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

β€’ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally exert higher force using mechanical devices
β€’ Comfortable climbing ladders, stairways and working at heights
β€’ Ability to work in confined spaces and wear required PPE for extended periods
β€’ Medically cleared and fit-tested to wear full-face respirators and SCBA when required
β€’ Able to work indoors and outdoors in extreme noise and weather conditions
