CaTs® delivers soluble calcium when and where peanuts need it most

The most efficient and fast-acting source of calcium and sulfur available to peanut growers

CaTs® delivers soluble calcium when and where peanuts need it most. Large seed peanuts require plenty of soluble calcium at pegging for healthy pod and kernel development. Without adequate calcium, the plant can easily develop nutrient deficiencies such as pod rot and black heart, which will result in lower quality and yield. The CaTs liquid fertilizer is the most efficient and fast-acting source of calcium and sulfur available to peanut growers.

A superior form of calcium and sulfur for peanuts

Applications of CaTs (0-0-0-10S-6Ca) puts 100% soluble calcium in the pegging zone that is readily available for pod and kernel development. Gypsum contains 23% calcium by weight, but only 0.25% of that calcium is soluble, depending on the available water. CaTs is easy to apply through the center pivot, giving growers the ability to deliver nutrients at critical periods of crop demand while also ensuring time and labor savings. The thiosulfate chemistry in CaTs has the potential to release additional calcium in the soil for plant uptake, improved soil structure, greater water infiltration, and reduced soil crusting.

Growers using CaTs in their nutrient program have seen earlier peanut maturity, improved overall quality, and greater yields.

CaTs Program for Peanuts

Apply CaTs at bloom or at first pegging. Then make a second application approximately 30 days later.

  • CaTs should be injected through a center pivot with irrigation water.

  • CaTs should not be foliar applied.
