Tessenderlo Kerley, Inc. announced the highlights of its 2025 community outreach efforts, showcasing a year defined by generosity, connection and support for local communities across North America.
Driven by a long-standing commitment to outreach within the communities it serves, Tessenderlo Kerley team members championed initiatives supporting youth sports, agricultural education, STEM exploration and community well-being.
“At Tessenderlo Kerley, giving back isn’t an obligation; it’s who we are,” said Executive Vice President Russell Sides. “I’m incredibly proud of our entire team for the spirit of generosity they show every year, including in 2025. Their commitment to uplifting our communities, supporting young people and investing in the next generation truly reflects the spirit that this organization was founded on.”
Supporting Youth Fitness & Healthy Communities
Tessenderlo Kerley facilities nationwide rallied behind youth programs in their communities. In Defiance, Ohio, the company sponsored both the boys’ and girls’ high school cross-country teams as they advanced to Regional and State Finals. Similar investments were made by teams in Hanford, California; Burley, Idaho; Ponca City, Oklahoma; and Phoenix - supporting youth soccer, Little League baseball, and even volunteer coaching led by Tessenderlo Kerley employees.
In Eufaula, Alabama, employees hosted and sponsored a youth learn-to-fish event featuring a community bike giveaway, while the Learning Center in Dinuba, California donated Matriarch sweetcorn to local nonprofits, manufacturers and fellow team members, sharing nourishment and goodwill across the region.
Cultivating Future Leaders in Agriculture & Science
Tessenderlo Kerley continued its deep support for future agricultural leaders. The Eufaula, Alabama plant sponsored a standout agriscience student at the National Future Farmers of America Convention, where her chapter earned a prestigious national honor. Teams in Idaho, California, and Washington sponsored FFA, 4‑H, college agriculture programs, and school fundraisers supporting student farmers.
Outreach extended into STEM education, as well. In Phoenix, Strategic Planning Manager Mukund Vasudevan delivered hands-on engineering lessons to elementary students, while the Defiance, Ohio plant welcomed 240 students for immersive soil science demonstrations, safety education and career exploration opportunities.
Building Stronger Communities Together
From youth athletics to agricultural education and STEM enrichment, employees company-wide embraced the opportunity to make a difference. Their collective efforts brought learning, opportunity and joy to thousands of students, families and community members.
